    1. On December 16, 2024, Bangladesh marked its 54th Victory Day, honoring the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War. The day began with a 31-gun salute and a wreath-laying ceremony by President Mohammed Shahabuddin at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar. Citizens across the country paid tribute through ceremonies and cultural programs, including “Tales of Martyrs’ Mothers” in Chattogram. These events reflected the nation’s deep respect and gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives for independence, reinforcing national unity and the enduring legacy of Bangladesh’s struggle for freedom.
