Dear All,

We are pleased to announce that as part of the ongoing development of our international operations and the consolidation of our organizational identity, the International Human Rights Commission IHRC Corporation has officially rebranded its main logo.

As of today, the new primary emblem of IHRC is the logo bearing the inscription “IHRC ALLIANCE” – symbolising our transnational and intergovernmental cooperation in the protection of human rights, peacebuilding, and global justice.

The New Logo:

It features a classic globe encircled by a laurel wreath, consistent with international standards for peace-oriented organisations, with the inscription IHRC ALLIANCE clearly emphasizing our community of nations, structures, and strategic partners.

What is IHRC ALLIANCE?

IHRC Alliance is an intergovernmental coalition of partner organisations working together to protect human rights, deliver humanitarian aid, foster social development, and promote peace on the international stage.

This alliance brings together governmental, non-governmental, diplomatic and volunteer structures, forming an integrated platform for global action.

IHRC Alliance represents a new chapter in the history of our organisation – a phase in which operational, diplomatic, and humanitarian efforts are carried out in the spirit of unity, solidarity, and the mission of “Peacemaker.”

Previous Logos:

All previous versions of the logo remain active and permissible for use, especially in the context of regional branches, historical documents, press credentials, and previously issued materials. The change solely applies to the main, official identity of IHRC Corporation.

Purpose of the Rebranding

Strengthen IHRC’s visual coherence on the international stage,

Highlight our affiliation with the global IHRC Alliance,

Enhance recognisability in intergovernmental and diplomatic communications,

Reflect the dynamic evolution of our mission.

Use the “IHRC ALLIANCE” main logo in all new promotional materials, official documents, and institutional communications.

Society and Environment: The Preservation and Development of Wildlife and Flora, Combating Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Drought in Côte d’Ivoire and, in general, in West Africa within the ECOWAS region.

Joint French Mission in Paris – Soundélé Konan Foundation and the National Coordination for the Country Programme of the International Human Rights Commission IHRC Corporation for the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, linked to ECOWAS countries, on the sidelines of the “International Conference on Agriculture” (SIA).

The Soundélé Konan Foundation, represented by its president, Adrienne Soundélé, participated in an international conference on agriculture and water on 5 March in Paris. This event, initiated by the Carrefour des Acteurs Sociaux et du Partenariat Eurafricain, took place in the prestigious setting of the French Academy of Agriculture, highlighting the importance of the topics discussed.

The conference brought together experts, policymakers, and representatives of non-governmental organisations to discuss the challenges posed by global warming, particularly its impacts on agriculture and water resource management. The participation of the Soundélé Konan Foundation in this event demonstrates its ongoing commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation.

At the conclusion of the discussions, Laurent Dornon, head of the Agriculture Department at the Carrefour des Acteurs Sociaux et du Partenariat Eurafricain, expressed his gratitude to Ms Soundélé for the presence and contribution of the Foundation at the conference.

Furthermore, he emphasised the importance of continuing collaborations between their organisations to better address environmental challenges. “We are committed to raising awareness of climate change issues, the importance of agriculture, and respect for nature, as well as conveying key messages to better prepare for the future,” Mr Dornon stated in his official correspondence.

The conference provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas on innovative solutions for climate-resilient agriculture and more sustainable water resource management. The discussions also highlighted the necessity of strengthened cooperation between African and European countries to tackle these shared challenges.

The Soundélé Konan Foundation, known for its commitment to forest protection projects in Africa, continues to play a key role in promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices and raising awareness about the impacts of climate change. Its participation in this conference in France marks a significant step in its international efforts and strengthens its position as a major player in the field of sustainable development.

September 15, 2023

H.E Ambassador (Dr.) Duru Hezekiah is the Ambassador at Large and Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Transnational Intergovernmental Organization-International Human Rights Commission-IHRC in Nigeria.

IHRC has its world headquarters in Zurich Switzerland chaired by the Secretary-General, Prof h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik.

The IHRC, highly experienced and specialized in peace negotiation and humanitarian aid, has a Diplomatic Representation to the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. It’s also a self-financed, neutral, impartial, and independent organization.

IHRC has operated mainly in the international arena in zones of war and military operations, territorial and national conflicts, and humanitarian disasters. On 3 continents, we closely cooperate with state authorities, creating conditions and securing platforms for official and unofficial work and arrangements aimed at resolving conflicts and restoring the application of Human Rights. More about us can be found on our official website at www.ihrchq.org

Upon assumption of office in 2022 as the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission, Dr. Duru Hezekiah has engendered International Diplomacy, Exemplary Leadership, and Peaceful Dialogue, a thematic apperception of clinging to an indisputable climax in IHRC.

This Monograph Series No 1 titled International Diplomacy in Leadership and Peaceful Dialogue, largely emphasizes Dr. Duru Hezekiah’s antecedents in office from September 2022 to September 2023.

“It highlights his keynote speeches, humanitarian interventions, human rights defense, crime prevention approaches, and negotiations as they span full respect for human rights, multi-actor partnership, equity, sustainability, and attitudes and values that foster responsibility, solidarity, and tolerance”.

These indelible strides are attributed to international diplomacy in leadership, and peaceful dialogue, an affirmation of the United Nations Human Rights Council’s key components of good governance which are transparency, responsibility, accountability, participation, and responsiveness (to the needs of the people).

Meanwhile, International Diplomacy in Leadership and Peaceful Dialogue is interdisciplinary and, of course, extensive. For this monograph, leadership is considered the art of influencing people, organizations, and institutions to accomplish specific purposes, such as missions that serve public and national interests.

There are broader themes here regarding the antecedents of Dr. Duru Hezekiah for institutional and organizational innovation and reform to adapt, and the impact of these demands on politicians and public managers, as ethical leaders, at all levels (participative, organizational, and institutional) and frequently working across multiple sectors (public, private, and nonprofit) thoroughly exemplified.

His ideas of leadership and innovation and public-sector institutional and organizational reform, all enumerated in this Monograph Series No. 1, are worthy of attention. The distinctive approach of his antecedents includes meeting several objectives on the roles and functions of leaders and managers as executives in public institutions and organizations that engage in multi-sectoral activities such as public-private-nonprofit partnerships; Duru is not only good at negotiating and resolving conflicts, but also at creating and maintaining positive relationships, both internally and externally.

“…Social scientists have postulated that no man is born human but being classified as a human being is only a product of the content of one’s character and behaviors that makes one a human being. The same can be seen in the person of Dr. Duru Hezekiah”.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah, the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission for the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) in Nigeria, assumed office on 16th September 2022 and proceeded with the official handover from his predecessor H.E. Ambassador Dr. Friday Sani on September 21st, 2022 during the commemoration of the World Peace Day at the Central Office in Abuja.

Before his official appointment announced by the Secretary-General Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik, in September 2022, Dr. Duru was the Acting Head of Mission IHRC Nigeria from April to September. The Monograph Series of his One-year Antecedents as the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission to the Federal Republic of Nigeria was contained in a press release made available by his media team on Thursday 20th, April 2023.

He submitted that the International Human Rights Commission – IHRC is a Diplomatic Transnational Intergovernmental Organization and member of the “Migration and Home Affairs” Department of the European Commission, the Executive and Civil Service of the European Union; an experienced, highly specialized peace negotiator and humanitarian aid provider; a self-financed, neutral, impartial, and independent organization with world headquarters in Zurich Geneva and Nigeria Office at 9 Cotonou Crescent Wuse Zone 6 FCT Abuja.

“IHRC has operated mainly in the international arena in zones of war and military operations, territorial and national conflicts, and humanitarian disasters. On 3 continents, we closely cooperate with state authorities, creating conditions and securing platforms for official and unofficial work and arrangements aimed at resolving conflicts and restoring the application of Human Rights. More about the International Human Rights Commission can be found on the website at www.ihrchq.org”, he maintained.

Upon assumption of office in 2022, Dr. Duru Hezekiah has engendered International Diplomacy, Exemplary Leadership, and Peaceful Dialogue, a thematic apperception in clinging to an indisputable climax in the history of IHRC in West Africa.

This Monograph Series No. 1 titled “International Diplomacy in Leadership and Peaceful Dialogue”, according to H.E. Dr. Duru, is dedicated to his staff and most importantly IHRC Volunteers who are doing great work in their respective States. The Monograph largely emphasizes his antecedents from April 2022 to date, highlighting his speeches at different programs, humanitarian interventions, human rights defense, crime prevention approaches, and negotiations as it spans full respect for human rights, multi-actor partnership, equity, sustainability, and attitudes and values that foster responsibility, solidarity, and tolerance.

These antecedents are attributed to international diplomacy in leadership, and peaceful dialogue in affirmation of the United Nations Human Rights Council’s key components of good governance which are transparency, responsibility, accountability, participation, and responsiveness (to the needs of the people).

International Diplomacy in Leadership and Peaceful Dialogue is interdisciplinary and, of course, extensive.

Dr. Duru’s ideas of leadership and innovation and public-sector institutional and organizational reform, all enumerated in this Monograph Series No 1, are worthy of attention.

“The Monograph would not be complete without expressing my profound gratitude to all those who have contributed to the success of my administration in this one year in office. I am most indebted to my father in the Lord, Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah (MFR), Founder and Leader of Living Christ Mission Inc; for his inspiration, support, and prayers.

I sincerely acknowledge with much gratitude, the encouragement, and platform reposed on me by Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik, Secretary-General International Human Rights Commission, and most importantly, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Friday Sani, my predecessor.

I lack appropriate words to express my gratitude to you all but pray to the Almighty God to bless and reward every one of you abundantly”.

The Monograph Series is a classified IHRC document to be published by the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) Nigeria, at 9 Cotonou Crescent Wuse Zone 6, FCT, Abuja.
