September 11, 2023
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah, the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission for the International Human Rights Commission IHRC in Nigeria, was appointed into office in September 2022 by the IHRC Secretary-General Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik.
The Department of Media and Strategic Communications for IHRC Nigeria headed by Fidelis Onakpoma, averred that H.E. Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah’s acknowledgment note contained in a Monograph of his one-year antecedents as the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission for the International Human Rights Commission IHRC in Nigeria are inspirational, captivating with compelling narratives that transcend into a workable force.
His impressive professional journey stands as a testament to leadership and influence in shaping regional policies and implementing sustainable development initiatives, thus, his acknowledgment further explores the four core principles of diplomacy: negotiation, communication, building relationships, and promoting interests.
These principles serve as the foundation for effective diplomatic interactions, facilitating peaceful resolution of conflicts and promoting international cooperation, while inspiring and motivating a team spirit.
The Acknowledgement says “I give all the glory to God for His strength, wisdom, and inspiration. This Monograph Series No.1 entails my one-year term antecedents in office as the Ambassador at Large and Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the International Human Rights Commission IHRC in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A full list of acknowledgments will prove to be too extensive. However, I must constrain myself with the bare minimum.
As the Ambassador at Large and Head of the Diplomatic Mission for IHRC in Nigeria, I do not pretend to claim the antecedents in this Monograph Series, Having worked with my amiable team in attaining this great height; to you all, I say a very big thank you.
I am indebted to all those who have contributed to the success of my administration in this past year in office. I am most indebted to my father in the Lord, the Founder, Leader, and Archbishop of Living Christ Mission Inc., His Grace, The Most Rev. I sincerely acknowledge with much gratitude, the encouragement, and platform reposed on me by Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik, Secretary-General International Human Rights Commission whose contributions to the improvement of people’s lives and maintaining peace in the world have left an indelible mark on society. Guided by his watchword, “Because what we do today, we do for Generations”, Prof Rafal Marcin Wasik’s resplendent passion for human development radiates brilliantly, illuminating the path for transformative change and championing the rights and opportunities of humans throughout the world.
My profound appreciation goes to my Predecessor H.E. Ambassador Dr. Friday Sani whose commitment to this noble cause has been steadfastly evident, enriching the discourse on these matters.
I would also like to acknowledge the confidence and advocacy programs of the Special Monitoring Mission in Nigeria led by the National Coordinator Engr. Elijah Vitus Echendu for their major contribution. Special thanks to Rev. (Dr.) Yakubu Pam, Chairman IHRC Advisory Board Nigeria, and DIG Hafiz Inuwa former Force Secretary to the Nigeria Police, who valiantly stood by me.

To my dearly beloved friend and wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Duru Onyinye Ann and my immediate family, for your patience and tolerance, while I go about carrying out my duties, I say thank you.
This acknowledgment would not be completed without expressing my profound gratitude to Rev. Kanayochuchwu Omeje, my beloved brethren at Living Christ Mission Inc. whose names are too numerous to mention, and amiable colleagues at Polaris Bank Abakaliki Branch Ebonyi State, I lack the appropriate words to express my gratitude to you all but pray to the Almighty God to bless and reward every one of you abundantly”.
