The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Fidelis Onakpoma, Head of Media and Strategic Communications IHRC Nigeria, as IHRC Alliance World Speaker, effective immediately.

This recognition reflects Mr. Onakpoma’s unwavering dedication, professional excellence, and significant contributions to advancing the mission and values of the IHRC in Nigeria and across the globe.

As IHRC Alliance World Speaker, Mr. Onakpoma will play a pivotal role in:

• Representation: Serving as a global voice of IHRC at international, regional, and national platforms, conferences, and engagements.
• Advocacy: Promoting human rights, peace, justice, and humanitarian values in alignment with IHRC’s mission and vision.
• Strategic Communication: Enhancing IHRC’s visibility and credibility worldwide through effective messaging and media engagement.
• Partnership Building: Strengthening IHRC’s cooperation with governments, institutions, civil society, and the private sector to foster global collaboration.
• Thought Leadership: Delivering keynote addresses, public lectures, and official statements on behalf of IHRC on pressing global issues.

Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik, IHRC Secretary-General, Peacemaker, emphasised that Mr. Onakpoma’s experience and leadership will be a strong foundation for his new responsibilities:
