The organisation is registered in the states of New Mexico and New York in cooperation with UN Interpol Centre, which allows the IHRC to protect human rights and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to address various global issues.

It is the only organisation without any governmental involvement that has been recognised by numerous governments, state institutions and Transnational Organisations as a Transnational Intergovernmental Organisation.

Running a volunteer programme called the IHRC Special Monitoring Mission (SMM), the IHRC has more than 12,500 active volunteers in 118 countries on six continents.

As part of the multidisciplinary implementation of the Free Ukraine – Free Europe programme, the first economic zone will be established in southern Ukraine under the management of the IHRC. It will be designed to intensify the region’s economy and become the centre of the post-war comprehensive reconstruction programme for Ukraine.

In 2022, the Transnational Intergovernmental Organisation International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

It is mutually believed that obtaining patronage will be the first step towards close and fruitful cooperation for the development of the University of Customs and Finance, the socio-economic improvement of the society of Dnipro region, the whole of Ukraine and the common Europe.

The day’s festivities commenced with a symbolic gesture of laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Square in Warsaw, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for independence and freedom. Following this moving ceremony, the guests proceeded to the DRC Ambassador’s residence, where an official reception was held.

During the reception, the national anthems of Poland and the Democratic Republic of the Congo were solemnly sung, further strengthening the spirit of mutual respect and solidarity between the two nations. Ambassador Clementine Shakembo Kamanga delivered a speech highlighting the importance of international cooperation and commitment to defending human rights. She also emphasized the significance of peace and unity for her country’s further development.

Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik, on behalf of the IHRC delegation, expressed gratitude for the invitation and stressed his determination to promote and protect human rights. His words underscored the hope for further cooperation between the IHRC and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Guests had the opportunity to partake in a traditional meal featuring Congolese culinary specialties, providing an excellent forum for informal discussions and exchanges related to human rights issues.

The celebration also showcased Congo’s rich culture through artistic performances, including traditional dances and music, bringing participants even closer together.

The event concluded with a joint photo, capturing a moment of unity and international cooperation. This day not only celebrated independence but also demonstrated how cultural diplomacy and dialogue can contribute to a better world where human rights take precedence.

Through this and other initiatives, the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Poland aims to build intercultural bridges and strengthen international tie.

Human Rights Stakeholders comprising the Police, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Nigeria Army, the Special Monitoring Mission of the International Human Rights Commission-IHRC, including the Delta State University Abraka, and other Civil Rights Groups to develop a comprehensive experience of human rights advocacy hinged to provide creative, concrete knowledge of how to use international and regional human rights treaties and enforcement mechanisms in their work for the protection and promotion of human rights.

This was obtained in a statement by the National/Multi-National Coordinator of the IHRC Special Monitoring Mission in Nigeria and Africa Region, Engr. Comrade Elijah Vitus Echendu, made available by the Head of Media, Strategic Communications IHRC in Nigeria, Mr. Fidelis Onakpoma, on December 21, 2023.

He said the development will converge during the End-of-Year Human Rights Stakeholders Summit in Delta State, stressing that the targeted audience includes tertiary institutions, human rights educators, advocates, activists, law enforcement officers, lawyers, women activists, research officers, leaders, members of coalitions and networks, staff of NGOs and CBOs, volunteers, development actors, trainers, students, United Nations agency, Ministry of Justice officials, government officials.

With the theme of the Summit, ‘The Future is Human Rights ‘, he maintained that the Summit will integrate knowledge in the fields of politics, economics, cultural diversity, gender issues, and socio-psychology in the context of human rights.

“Strategized training and methodology required for promoting human rights education in our community across all sectors shall as well be formulated through the summit”, he hinted.

He added the Summit will take on the 23rd of December 2023 at Abraka Delta State with special award recognition for Special Monitoring Mission Officials and other Human Rights Actors whose unrelenting efforts towards human rights advocacy and defense cannot be overemphasized.
