Humanitarian outreach reflects IHRC’s commitment to compassion, education, and social responsibility

The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC Corporation) continues to advance its global mission of humanitarian service and social responsibility through community-based action. On the occasion of Diwali in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, IHRC volunteers Mr. Sish Paul and Mr. Rajesh Goyal carried out a compassionate initiative, distributing blankets to people in need under the banner of IHRC.

The activity, part of IHRC’s ongoing social responsibility campaign, was designed to bring practical assistance and human warmth to those facing difficult living conditions during the colder months. It also served as an opportunity to raise awareness of solidarity, empathy, and civic engagement within local communities.

Empowering communities through compassion

This local humanitarian effort reflects IHRC’s broader approach — combining human rights advocacy, educational engagement, and direct community support. By empowering individuals to take action at the grassroots level, IHRC reinforces the principle that human dignity is universal, and that every act of kindness contributes to building a more just and compassionate society.

The initiative was conducted with the support and coordination of H.E. Bishop Dr. Samsher Khan, IHRC Peace Ambassador, High Commissioner, MNVC SMM, and IHRC Press Journalist, who emphasised that service to humanity is the foundation of sustainable peace and development.

IHRC Corporation: Setting New Benchmarks in International Effectiveness

IHRC Corporation, founded in 2023 in New Mexico by Prof. h.c. Rafał Marcin Wasik and Maj. Gen. Romanos Raad, is an independent, transnational intergovernmental organization (IGO) operating strictly under international law: the United Nations Charter, the Geneva Convention, the Vienna Convention, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The relief mission—conducted in close partnership with 25 approved Palestinian organisations and officially recognised by the Government of Israel—ensured the transparent, direct distribution of food and essential supplies to vulnerable families. IHRC Corporation and the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights sign a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) – establishing a strategic partnership for human rights and humanitarian action in Ukraine.

Tragedy Strikes the Heart of the Community

A shocking attack has struck St. Elias Church of the Greek Orthodox community in Al-Dweilaa, Damascus. During evening prayers, a bombing claimed the lives of nine civilians and injured many more, according to the Syrian Ministry of Interior.

Emergency Response and National Mourning

Medical and civil defence teams responded rapidly, transporting the injured to hospitals amid scenes of profound sorrow and outrage. No group has claimed responsibility at the time of this report.

Violation of Humanitarian and Religious Norms

This assault stands as one of the gravest attacks on a place of worship in recent Syrian history, threatening the country’s tradition of diversity and peaceful coexistence.

Civil society organisations condemned the bombing unequivocally, urging:

• Protection of religious sites
• Accountability for perpetrators
• Enhanced civilian protection measures

They also expressed their condolences to the victims’ families and wished the injured a swift recovery.

Mercy to the souls of the martyrs, and patience and comfort to their families.
No to terrorism… Yes to peace.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. h.c. Mehmet Şükrü Güzel, who has been actively addressing issues such as decolonisation, international terrorism, conflict prevention, and human rights, expressed his willingness to collaborate with IHRC. His expertise in peacebuilding and reconciliation is expected to bring significant value to the Commission’s global objectives.

“The opportunity to collaborate with such a distinguished leader in human rights and reconciliation as Prof. Dr. h.c. Mehmet Şükrü Güzel is a great honour for our organisation. The meeting addressed global challenges such as armed conflicts, terrorism, and the need for international solidarity. Particularly symbolic was the action of Nepal’s local community, who painted their shops in the colours of the Ukrainian flag – a gesture of support for global peace.

“Nepal, through its unity and openness, serves as an inspiration to other communities worldwide. This solidarity proves that local actions can have global significance.” remarked Mjr. Gen. Romanos Aziz Raad, referring to Nepal’s engagement with global issues.

The meeting was not only an opportunity for an exchange of experiences but also a platform for strengthening international cooperation. The presence of IHRC leaders, such as Pawel Nowacki, Dipendra Silwal, and the wife of Prof. Dr. h.c. Mehmet Şükrü Güzel, underscored IHRC’s dedication to building bridges between different regions of the world and supporting initiatives aimed at resolving conflicts peacefully and safeguarding human rights.
