As part of activities marking International Girl Child Day 2023, October 11, the International Human Rights Commission-IHRC Special Monitoring Mission in the South-South Region led by Fidelis Onakpoma, visited some schools – Champions Preparatory Academy and Orhuoka Grammar School both in Delta State.

During the visits, the girls’ children were urged to adhere to the right knowledge and mentorships that can support their well-being.

Issues regarding moral decadence, decision-making skills, self-esteem, and self-control were also discussed while charging them to report any attempts by any man to molest them.

Also present at the sensitization program were other Officials of the Special Monitoring Mission in Delta State, Comrade Ogunti Emmanuel, Peter Oloche, and Chukwuegbo Immaculate Ifunanya.
