The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), as part of its ongoing commitment to human rights education and advocacy, organised a special recognition event in Govandi, Mumbai. The ceremony brought together leading local officials, social workers, and IHRC volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the advancement and defence of fundamental human rights.

IHRC Delegation Engages with National Leaders and Celebrates Humanitarian Solidarity

A Day of Strategic Engagements and Recognition

The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) continues to solidify its presence and influence across India through high-level diplomatic outreach and interfaith collaboration.
On 30 June 2025, an IHRC delegation led by H.E. Bishop Dr. Samsher Khan – IHRC Peace Ambassador, High Commissioner MNVC SMM IHRC, and IHRC Press Journalist – participated in a series of pivotal meetings in Mumbai, Maharashtra State.

Dialogue with National Leadership

Facilitated by Shri Mohan Pawar Patil, Speaker and Secretary of Mumbai Maharashtra State, the IHRC delegation had the distinct honour to meet:

• Shri Sharad Pawar Ji, National President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Chief Minister
• Mrs. Supriya Sule, Member of Parliament (on the occasion of her birthday)

These encounters provided a platform for exchanging views on the advancement of human rights, social justice, and interfaith harmony in India.

Humanitarian Outreach Under the Banner of IHRC

Today, the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) held a heartfelt outreach program for schoolchildren in Kalyan, Mumbai, Maharashtra. The event was attended by H.E Bishop Dr. Samsher Khan, Peace Ambassador & High Commissioner MNVC SMM IHRC, alongside Noor Mohammad Rahmani and Mehtab Rahmani (Zonal Volunteer Coordinators IHRC), as well as volunteers Sarfaraz Rais and Aftab Rahmani.

Supporting the Next Generation

During the program, essential school supplies—including notebooks, pencils, erasers, and biscuits—were distributed to young students. This small yet meaningful gesture brought joy to the children and highlighted IHRC’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.

“It was a very happy and good moment with the children, and we express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Samsher Khan for his presence and leadership. We thank God for enabling us to organize this impactful event under the IHRC banner.”
