<p><br>Again, Dr. Kingsley Nwokoma has reiterated its commitment to consolidate activities that promote sustainable development goals through creating an avenue for youth development, youth empowerment, and educational sustainable programs. He gave the assertion on Saturday at the Diplomatic Office of the International Human Rights Commission, Abuja, while conveying his intent to sponsor the IHRC&#8217;s Back to School Campaign.</p>

<p><br>Dr. Nwokoma who was received by the IHRC&#8217;s Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah, said that the Back to School Campaign was specifically designed for schools in Abia State, to build and improve students with academic thrilling programs that will promote educational qualities, discourage drug abuse and cultism engagements, instill discipline, stimulate an improved reading culture, disciple and equip them with leadership qualities, and create an environment for gender equality and justice.</p>

<p><br /><br />“The conceptualization of the Project was based on recent trending social vices among school children, which has demeaned them by imbibing deviant behaviors and academic misbelief&#8221;, Nwokoma narrated.<br /><br />He noted that there is now a deteriorating hypothesis amongst young people that says “school na scam&#8221;, adding that they&#8217;re easily deceived into joining a cult group even at their secondary school levels with the assurance to gain protection or pass their exams without struggles.<br /><br />He maintained that the Campaign will discuss remedies that address these challenges drawing from experiences with vulnerable populations and showcasing notable interventions from several organizations such as the International Human Rights Commission as case studies for learning.<br /><br />And also noted that the Campaign will be accompanied by a donation of notebooks to students across the 17 local government areas of Abia State with an implementable network of IHRC Special Monitoring Mission in Nigeria led by the National Coordinator Elijah Vitus Echendu.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Dr. Duru Hezekiah in his response commended the Back to School Campaign and the sponsorship of Dr. Kingsley Nwokoma, attributing it to his efforts in achieving sustainable development goals.<br /><br />“We will play host to representatives of Government in Abia State, NGOs, Corporate Organizations, and Government Agencies responsible for addressing youth development globally&#8221;, Dr. Duru maintained.</p>

<p><br><br>Overwhelming joy emits the Special Monitoring Mission of the <mark style="background-color:rgba(0,0,0,0);color:#cf2e2e" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color">International Human Rights Commission </mark>(SMM IHRC) in Ghana, as H.E. Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah, the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission IHRC Nigeria, holds talks with the Ghanaian government on advancing IHRC activities in Ghana, as well as donation of IHRC T-shirts and Face caps to Volunteers.<br><br>The SMM IHRC Commissioner and Head of Volunteers in Ghana, Amb. Dr Bernard K. Bonarparte, disclosed that H E. Dr. Duru Hezekiah arrived at the Kotoka International Airport Ghana, on Wednesday for a 3-day working visit.</p>

<p><br><br>He maintained that H.E. Dr. Duru was later accompanied to the Office of the Ghanaian Director of Multilateral and Bilateral Relations, Hon. Iddrisu Yakubu at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra, for a courtesy call visit, where he intimated him about the objectives and scope of work of the International Human Rights Commission, urging him to give his valuable cooperation in advancing  the works of IHRC in Ghana.<br><br>The visit also served as an avenue to invite the Director to Abuja for the official inauguration of IHRC Nigeria cum book launch and anniversary as the Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.</p>

<p>Education: The National Coordinator Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) Nigeria, Comrade Elijah Vitus Echendu reiterates their commitment to supporting education as a fundamental human right.</p>



<p>Elijah in correspondence with the IHRC Media unit said he has credibly secured a partnership with IHRC Diplomatic Mission Nigeria, to commence the free distribution of the Organization notebooks to selected schools in Nigeria, stressing that the exercise shall kick off on Thursday 19th January 2023 at GSS-Government Secondary School, Airport Road Jabi Abuja.</p>



<p>He maintained that the initiative is an appraisal effort of the IHRC Ambassador at Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission Nigeria, Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah; towards upholding the universal declaration of the right to education.</p>



<p>He said subsequently, other States of the federation would be visited for the same purpose and Nigerian schools will continue to benefit from the International Human Rights Commission Projects.</p>
