<p><br><br>The Transnational Intergovernmental Organization &#8211; <mark style="background-color:rgba(0,0,0,0);color:#cf2e2e" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color">International Human Rights Commission (</mark>IHRC) in collaboration with Zion Gates Foundation, reportedly launched a Child Protection Program in Maasai Village and Moshi Kilimanjaro, Tanzania</p>

<p><br><br>A statement by IHRC Global Peace Ambassador, Count William K Mackie, said that the Child Protection Program was launched to address the issues of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and aimed to provide a safe and supportive environment for children, while also empowering them to become agents of change in their communities.<br><br>He articulated the activities of the program, saying the program has implemented several activities in achieving its objectives including:<br>1. Awareness Campaigns; awareness campaigns in the local communities educate parents, caregivers, and community members on child rights and the importance of protecting children from abuse and exploitation.<br><br>2. Child Protection Committees: established Child Protection Committees in the local communities which provide support, guidance, and protection to vulnerable children.<br><br>3. Child-Friendly Spaces: established  Child-Friendly Spaces in the local communities to provide a safe and supportive environment for children. “These spaces offer a range of activities, including games, sports, and educational programs, to help children develop their skills and knowledge&#8221;.</p>

<p><br><br>4. Child Helpline: The program has established a Child call helpline to provide children with a confidential and safe platform to report abuse and exploitation. The helpline is available 24/7 and is staffed by trained professionals who can provide guidance and support to children in need.<br><br>Meanwhile, the IHRC-Zion Gates Child Protection Program has achieved significant success in its efforts to protect children from abuse and exploitation some of the major achievements include;<br><br>a. Increased Awareness: among parents, caregivers, and community members on the importance of child protection which also improved the reporting of child abuse and exploitation cases.<br><br>b. Improved Child Protection: the Child Protection Committees and Child-Friendly Spaces have helped to improve the protection of children in the local communities.<br><br>c. Increased Access to Support: the call helpline has provided children with a confidential and safe platform to report abuses and exploitations, helping to increase access to support for children in need.<br><br>Recall that IHRC is a Diplomatic Organization headquartered in Zurich Switzerland, with Diplomatic Representation by the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission.
