Subject: FRAUD ALERT – Unauthorised Use of the Name and Logo of IHRC
The International Human Rights Commission -IHRC warns against fraudulent activities being conducted under the guise of our organisation. These fraudulent activities include the distribution of falsified documents, misuse of the IHRC name, and dissemination of false information about events allegedly organised by IHRC. We strongly condemn these actions and wish to clarify the situation.
False Information about Alleged Summits
IHRC categorically denies organising the events promoted as the “World Summit on Human Rights”. Fraudulent materials claim the organisation of summits in the following years and locations:
- 2004 in Karachi, Pakistan,
- 2013 in Islamabad, Pakistan,
- 2016 in Islamabad, Pakistan,
- 2019 in New York, USA.
The alleged “7th World Summit on Human Rights 2024” in Geneva, Switzerland, is also entirely false. IHRC was neither the organiser nor a participant in such events. The dissemination of these false claims damages our organisation’s reputation and misleads the public.
Key Details of the Fraudulent Materials
False Organisational Claims
Documents promoting events that never took place are entirely unauthentic.
Fake Visa Letters
Falsified documents allegedly issued by IHRC claim that the organisation facilitates visas for participants of events in Geneva.
False Representation of Individuals
A fictitious individual named “Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan” has been falsely presented as the “World Chair of the International Human Rights Commission (IGO)”. This person has no affiliation with IHRC, and the title is fabricated.
IHRC’s Stance
The International Human Rights Commission strongly condemns these fraudulent actions. Documents and materials promoting alleged events were not issued, approved, or recognised by IHRC. The organisation is actively collaborating with Interpol and cybercrime units to hold the perpetrators accountable.
