IHRC Supports School Children with Educational Materials in Sri Lanka.

As a voluntary support program of the International Human Rights Commission Special Monitoring Mission (IHRC SMM), a program was organized by Officials of the Special Monitoring Mission in Sri Lanka to provide school equipment needed by school children on July 27, 2023.
According to Mr. Satyavel Babudaran, the Sri Lanka National Volunteers Coordinator of the International Human Rights Commission SMM in Sri Lanka, and other members who attended the event which were Dr. Chrishantha Dissanayake, Mr. Dhammika Sisira Kumara, Mr. Nalin Darshana Mallawarachchi, Mr. Charminda Nisantha and Mr. Udara Ratnayake, charged the children to be focused with their education and shun anti-social behaviors.
The event took place at Wariyapola Tambarawa Primary School in North West Province, Sri Lanka, and notebooks, bags, (all school equipment), necessary food were given to all the school children of Wariyapola Tambarava Primary School, alongside the sound system needed by the school and 450000 Sri Lankan currency was awarded.
