Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India – 14 November 2025
The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC Corporation) proudly marked Children’s Day in Garhwal, Uttarakhand, reaffirming its global commitment to protecting children’s rights, promoting education, and strengthening the dignity and well-being of young people.
The celebration was carried out with the support of IHRC volunteer Mrs. Nidhi Mesi, under the initiative of the Kingdom of Heaven Child Care Mission, who dedicated meaningful time to children in the region—offering joy, encouragement and emotional support on this special day.
Mrs. Mesi expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community, stating:
“It is a blessing to be among children and to uplift them on this special day. Thank God. May God bless you all. Thank you, Lord. I am grateful for this opportunity to collaborate with the International Human Rights Commission.”
Strengthening the Rights and Well-Being of Children
As part of IHRC’s global mission, the event highlighted key principles of children’s rights, including:
- The right to education, grounded in Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
- The right to protection, care and development, in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
- The right to dignity and emotional well-being, especially for children in vulnerable environments.
- The importance of community-driven child support initiatives, strengthening local engagement in human rights advocacy.
The activities conducted in Garhwal served as a reminder that every child, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances, has the right to learning, safety, affection and opportunities for growth.
