Warsaw, 27 July 2024 – The IX Investiture of the Knighthood of St. Andrzej Bobola took place at the Archcathedral of St. John the Baptist in Warsaw, during which H.E. the Ambassador of the IHRC Zbigniew Gretka, was solemnly accepted into the Brotherhood.
In a ceremony that took place as part of the 800th anniversary celebrations of the Knighthood of St. Andrew Bobola, Ambassador Gretka took the solemn oath before Bishop Michal Jalocha, Suffragan of Warsaw. This prestigious event brought together numerous church and state dignitaries and members of the brotherhood who participated in the liturgy and the oath ceremony.
During the ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Zbigniew Gretka was honoured for his unquestionable merits in defending his homeland and promoting the Polish raison d’état internationally. In recognition of his achievements, the Minister of National Defence Wladyslaw Kosiniak; and the Polish Ambassador Andres; honoured him with the Grand Knight’s Cross on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
This important award recognises H.E. Zbigniew Gretka for his many years of dedication and commitment to defending human rights and promoting Polish values internationally.
