The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) had the distinct honour of participating in the recent celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the Nadwiślański Border Guard Unit (Nadwiślański Oddział Straży Granicznej). The ceremonial event, held at the Border Guard’s Conference and Training Centre in Otwock, was an opportunity to reflect on two decades of dedicated service, strengthen institutional cooperation, and highlight the importance of safeguarding national borders.
A Significant Milestone for the Polish Border Guard
This anniversary represents an important chapter in the history of the Border Guard, honouring twenty years of unwavering commitment to the security of the Republic of Poland. The Polish Border Guard plays a crucial role in protecting the country’s frontiers, ensuring public safety, and upholding European and international standards.
IHRC recognises the immense responsibility borne by the service, especially amidst growing cross-border challenges and shifting geopolitical dynamics.

During the anniversary event, the Commission was represented by:
