International Human Rights Commission -IHRC organised a remarkable humanitarian initiative from 9th to 11th January 2025, aimed at supporting individuals in difficult life situations. During this initiative, over three tonnes of food products were distributed, including 16 types of essential items such as sugar, flour, sunflower oil, pasta, biscuits, fish, chicken preserves, barley groats, oatmeal, rice, cheese, peas, carrots, coffee, and other staples.
The aid reached those in need regardless of their nationality or origin – it was provided to Poles, Ukrainians, and members of other communities. IHRC Commissioner Leli Kagermanova, and the initiator of this undertaking, emphasised:
“Humanity knows no borders. In these challenging times, unity and mutual support are essential. Helping those in need is not just a duty but an expression of our shared human responsibility.”
Leli Kagermanova also expressed hope that this initiative will serve as an inspiration for future efforts to build a better world:
“Every small gesture matters. It is through collective efforts that goodness is created, and solidarity among people is strengthened.”
The initiative was made possible thanks to the commitment and dedication of IHRC volunteers, who worked tirelessly to organise and distribute the aid effectively.
IHRC extends its gratitude to everyone who supported this initiative, both logistically and morally. It is through such collective efforts and engagement that we can bring help to those who need it most.
