NPF, IHRC Bids Farewell to Officer in Delta Community
NGA: The Special Monitoring Mission of the International Human Rights Commission IHRC in the South-South Region, joined Men of the Nigeria Police in Abraka Delta State, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, SP Ayameh Fabian Efehi to bid farewell to one of their Patriotic Officers, Late ASP. Ojo Odiri Okoromaraye, whose tragic demise occurred after a brief illness.
The IHRC Special Monitoring Mission Coordinator Fidelis Onakpoma, in his commiseration, said “Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that we feel for the passing of ASP. Ojo Odiri Okoromaraye, our earnest commiseration to the family and the Nigeria Police; may the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days, please accept our condolences”.
He said it was by the principles of the Organization to share a partnership with the Police and relate with them even in their bereaved state made the joining to pay final respect to the Late ASP Ojo in his hometown at Oghara-Agbarha Delta State, on Saturday 11, November 2023.
He commended the State Commissioner of Police CP Wale Abass and DPO Fabian for their leadership roles in ensuring a befitting burial for the Late ASP Ojo Odiri and also noted that the International Human Rights Commission IHRC will continue to partner with the Police.
Further, he urged the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to make better the health maintenance plan of the Nigeria Police which was meant to promote efficient, effective, convenient, and comprehensive healthcare delivery to the officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force and their families.
