Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India — 5 June 2025
In a heartwarming act of solidarity and compassion, the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) – Uttarakhand State Chapter carried out a blanket distribution initiative for vulnerable communities in the mountainous region of Tehri Garhwal, where temperatures have recently dropped to critically low levels.
This humanitarian activity, executed under the official banner of the IHRC, was spearheaded by Volunteer Moti and supported by local team members. The aim was clear: to provide immediate relief to those in need during the unforgiving winter season in the hills of Northern India.

Throughout the event, several individuals registered under the official IHRC identification system, marking not only their participation but also their endorsement of the organisation’s core mission — to protect human dignity and deliver aid where it is most needed.
The presence and blessing of H.E. Bishop Dr. Samsher Khan greatly inspired the community. His unwavering commitment to human rights law, peacebuilding, and faith-based outreach remains a cornerstone of the IHRC’s work in the region.
