Joshiyara, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India — 6 June 2025
In a significant step towards promoting educational excellence and human rights awareness, the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) – Uttarakhand State Chapter conducted a Teachers Training Programme at Sahara Christian Academy in Joshiyara, Uttarkashi.
The event was chaired by Rev. Dr. R. Stephen Diyali, Zonal Volunteer Coordinator & Investigative Journalist – IHRC Press India, and supported by Ms. Radhika Diyali, Volunteer of IHRC India.
This educational programme focused on raising awareness about the duties and responsibilities of teachers in their communities, particularly in relation to human rights principles and social accountability.

The programme concluded with a blessing prayer by the Chief Guest, followed by the distribution of books on child development, educational materials, and refreshments. Attendees expressed deep gratitude for the initiative and actively engaged under their official IHRC ID presence.

The event was also an opportunity to highlight the mission of IHRC and introduce participants to how they can contribute to human rights education and outreach. Many individuals showed interest in joining future IHRC initiatives and expanding the reach of the Commission in remote regions.
